The Emergency Osteopathic Service is an Osteopathic clinic situated at The Breath of Life Clinic,66 Wimpole St in Central London with another clinic at The Queens Club in W14. Managed by Sean Durkan, the service is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday with out of hours appointments available on a ad hoc basis at weekends.
Sean's Osteopathic treatments are individually tailored to quickly ease pain, reduce swelling and improve mobility with gentle, manual techniques - massage to relax stiff muscles, stretching to mobilise joints and manipulation to restore easy movement. Osteopathy does not involve surgery or the use of drugs.
For many years, osteopathy has been regulated by voluntary registering bodies. However since the Osteopaths Act (1993), the statutory body that regulates every practicing osteopath in the UK is the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).. Sean is an osteopathic practitioner of manual medicine and by being registered with the GOsC,is subject to strict ethical codes and disciplinary procedures. He is covered by all the major insurance companies including Bupa, AXA PPP,Cigna,Pru Health,Aviva and Simply Health.
